Depot in the Castle returns to the iconic grounds of Cardiff Castle on Saturday 25th July 2026, with indie legends The Wombats set to headline an unforgettable day of live music, food, and family-friendly fun. Part of the TK Maxx presents Depot Live summer series, this much-loved one-day festival is firmly established as one of Wales’s must-attend summer highlights.

Fresh off the back of their acclaimed sixth studio album Oh! The Ocean and a global arena tour, The Wombats remain one of the UK’s most enduring indie favourites. With era-defining anthems like Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Moving to New York, Greek Tragedy and Kill the Director, their high-energy sets continue to capture new fans while keeping long-time followers hooked.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Cardiff Castle, Depot in the Castle is more than just music. Expect an all-day celebration featuring:

Last year’s event was headlined by Jess Glynne alongside a stacked line-up including Maxïmo Park, Sigma, Kate Nash, Professor Green and Goldie Lookin’ Chain.
